Tamsen Marriott - President

Tamsen has worked in the vocational rehabilitation field for the past 15 years and has a particular interest in employment for people with a mental illness. Tamsen commenced her career in rural and regional NSW and then moved to Canberra 6 years ago.

She has been a MIFACT Committee of Management member for the past 3 years and has held the office of Treasurer and is currently Vice-president. Tamsen works for the Department of Human Services in the Job Capacity Assessment branch.

Meena Koerner - Treasurer

Meena has been married for 49 years with two grown-up daughters and two granddaughters. Meena comes from a diverse and multicultural mix.
She has a nursing background with extensive work experience in various nursing disciplines; including family planning course design / clinical work, teaching and counselling. Her hobbies are gardening, cooking and being with people sharing ideas and stories.
Meena’s main current involvement and interest is with MIFACT as a Committee Member.

June Bell - Secretary

A Canberra resident for fifty years. Bank employee transferred to Canberra in 1958. Worked in banking and finance and later in real estate for 15 years. A Carer for a person with a mental illness. A mother of four and grandmother to six. On retirement joined Mental Illness Fellowship ACT as a volunteer and subsequently was appointed Secretary.

Heide Seaman - Commitee Member

Heide Seaman has worked in the mental health sector, both government and community for the last 25 years.She is currently the Assistant CEO of Richmond Fellowship ACT, where she has been employed since 1987.She is on the Board of the ACT Mental Health Community Coalition and has been a member of MIFACT Committee of Management for 4 years.

Heide has worked closely with consumers in all types of settings and has developed a number of programs. She believes in the concept of recovery and enjoys working closely with consumers and their families.
