The Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (formerly Schizophrenia Fellowship's Council of Australia) was established as the national body with state and territory member organisations which support and represent people with a severe mental illness and their carers.

SFSQ The Schizophrenia Fellowship of South Queensland Inc. was established in 1985 by people living with schizophrenia and their family members. Founding members sought to redress government and community neglect of individuals living with schizophrenia, and to share support, resources, and understanding with their peers. The Mental Illness Fellowship of South Australia Inc. is an organisation committed to helping people with schizophrenia, their relatives and carers. It aims to enable people with schizophrenia and other mental illnesses, and their carers, to share fully in the community with the same rights and opportunities as other citizens. MIFWA

The Mental Illness Fellowship of Western Australia provides community based support to people with mental illness, family members and people who care for them. Phone (08) 9228 0200.

NTARAFMI

The Northern Territory Association of Relatives and Friends of the Mentally Ill is a support service for families and friends of people with a mental illness or disorder. Phone (08) 8942 2811.

SCHIZOPHRENIA FELLOWSHIP OF NSW

The Schizophrenia Fellowship is a nonprofit, community based organisation working in the field of mental illness. As such, it is governed by a management committee who guides the organisation strategically. The management committee is made up of 13 members, three of which must have a mental illness.

The Schizophrenia Fellowship of NSW Inc. is committed to improving the circumstances and welfare of people living with schizophrenia, their relatives and carers, and professionals working in the area.
